Daily Fail.

Never ceases to Fail on a Daily basis

Someone might want to refer them back to Heysel as to why they weren't in Europe in 1988.

And also ask who was actually the best team in Europe at the time.

Because it certainly wasn't Liverpool
.

mate they weren't even the best team in the city!

Another bitter Everton fan. What has Heysel got to do with this article? Facts are LFC were the European champions in 84-85 so they were the best team in Europe then. At the end of the season they weren't - Juventus were as they were European Champions. 86-87 is debatable like all teams who were unable to compete in Europe - we will never know how they would have fared. It was the government that pulled the English clubs out of Europe. Hearing the same old whinging from Everton fans is getting tired. Get over it.

norman hunter seems to think that we weren't banned ?
