Omar Cummings .. Would like to see Everton look at him

I missed this when you first posted it Wratho - sorry about that!

I absolutely would have at least taken a look. In fact, with our budget situation, I would have taken the top 5 forwards of MLS, and the Turkish league, and any other "will loan to the EPL for the sheer marketing value league" and scoured said list.

I think this is what we were thinking when we had Zakuani come "train" with us. Clearly he didn't work out. I think it's smart on Villa's part to look at Omar, and smart on Birm's part to look at Edson Buddle. Frankly, I'm surprised no one has checked out Wondo (Mr. Golden Boot).

For team's that need scoring NOW, these older players who have scored a lot may just have the "hot" that's necessary for a 10 week loan.

I would rate Edson higher than Omar, but I'm biased - mainly because he did a lot of his scoring this year by himself (without a Casey equivalent). Also, I've seen him more.

Of Wondo/Edson/Omar, which would you have Everton take?

Oh, and I'm stoked that more MLS players are getting a look - shows that the league is getting even better! It's exciting.

Not sure we should be spunking our money on a 28 year old.

He has very little miles on him. He has only played professionally for 4 years. Not much work with the Jamaican National team... plus he would be very very cheap for a Loan deal. I am not saying he is going to be great, I just wanted Everton to look at him. I hope Villa gives him a chance.

MLS will not ask for much, Agent and player want to see what he can do at that level. Very Cheap.

Why would we bring in a striker anyway. Moyes will sit him on the bench. He does not play the Strikers we have.

Being honest, it was more an attempt to fit the word spunk into this thread, rather than an actual opinion.

But fair play. I'll believe you.

CUMMINGS IN!!!

Omar will be gone to Europe in the next two years. Scored in the opener, set up the first goal. This game was on FSC and they even said he will be gone somewhere in Europe the next two years. Villa wanted him, but due to his limited time with the Jamaica National Team a work visa was going to be difficult. He is playing with National Team this weekend.
