There will be no Scottish or Northern Irish players in the men's British Olympic football squad when it is announced on Monday.
BBC Scotland has learned that manager Stuart Pearce will list 18 players from England and Wales.
Fifteen of the squad must be under 23, with Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards the three permitted overage players.

Totally expected, shame Pearce hasn't bothered his arse to go and actually scout some of the young talent that ply their trade more than 100 miles away from his house.

Pearce is a tit mate

The team should be a good mix of all 4 nations to get all football fans in GB involved

I don't believe in picking players based on tokenism but the thing is, despite what some narrow minded people on here think, there are some very talented youngsters coming through in Scotland.

I don't know about Northern Ireland and wouldn't comment without knowing more but the whole selection process seems incredibly lazy.

Come on mate how hard would it be to pick at least 3 players from each of the 4 nations

Lets not pretend this is the Euros or World cup its a one off because we have the Olympics in this country

Pearce in charge and I bet 90% of the team will be English, Fookin farce from start to finish

The SFA maybe, But that doesnt mean the players and fans did

pearce will pick a team for personal glory, rather than developing players or relations between the GB nations during the olympics, just like he did when picking 23 year olds for the u21 team, it was a bad appointment, but if jocks are looking for someone to blame for their omission they should look at their own fa's rabid critcism of the team.
