Olympic Sports that should never be....

OK, so we are watching Sochi and it's great but Ice Dancing, it's not a sport is it. Technically difficult, but so is juggling. It got me and Mrs Manx on to what is or isn't worthy of being noted as an Olympic Sport. Everyone will have different views but what would you kill off from either the Summer or Winter Olympics.

So first off I am killing off Rythymic Gymnastics, balls and ribbons, sorry but no.

Anything that is subjective imo. Never any doubt who threw the furthest, or ran the fastest. Drugs notwithstanding of course. But thats a different subject.

What's next ?

Anything that involves just sitting on your arse with barely any physical attributes needed. Archery and Shooting for example. Most of the people that do the shooting appear to be fat and old, and they look like proper bells with the eye patch thing they use.

They struggle in respect of how many winter sports there are though, toss bag Durham says bin the Slopestyle Snowboarding as it's just "folk messing about & having a good time," everyone else seemed to think that it was fantastic.

I'd sack off the horse stuff from the Summer Games, for a start the horses nationality isn't counted, secondly it's for toffs & thirdly..... Dressage.

Maybe sack the Bowls off as well, as pensioners aren't athletes.


I'd introduce fishing into both games as they can drill a hole in the winter.

Farting while wearing lycra should be an Olympic sport of it's own.
As should seal clubbing.
