Olives

Whats the general consensus?

In days of yonder I was anti them, Id march against them being considered food stuff I hated them that much.

Then last year I started to like them.

So there.

if i buy one of those pre made things with sun dried tomatos they taste ace.

I worked in Greece back in the day.

I didnt like Olives then but Greece was generally superb.

fresh olives = oh yes
fresh olives with anchovie stuffing in garlic and chili dressing = better than ossies goal vs brann.

Olives are tasty if you stir them into pasta and pesto with little cubes of feta cheese. Fresh stuffed and pitted olives are the best.

I grew up there, drank in the Dell and Swan, went to Prenton sec school, played footy on Walker park, had fights with the woodchurch nobs, lived in Boswell rd, carved my name (Favo)all over the place!
Left for Australia in 1977.

You're not wrong, and they're enormous. First time I tried them I thought they were some kind of pickled plum.
My favorites are Turkish pink olives from the North Aegean region. Similar to green olives but smaller and with softer flesh and a nuttier flavour.
