That'd be madness though surely? Only last week van Gaal was complaining about the imbalance of his squad. I think he was quoted as saying he had something like 10 players for that #10 role, and very few in other areas. I'm not sure the Argentine lad is the answer to their defensive problems, and can you really see them spending big money between now and the close, having just blown £60m on a Real Madrid reserve that they don't really need?
