Anyone else notice that, now we have won a game, fans are now aloud to leave comments again on the article.

I know there is a line between constructive criticism and negative remarks, but surely fans should be aloud to voice their opinion regardless of a result?

P.S still absolutely buzzin'

didn't notcie that mate..Interesting...Not good that...

P.S Still Buzzing too..

I'd go as far as saying, the people who want to leave bad remarks over step the line with language and stuff, thats probably why. We're the peoples club, who wants to read pages of bad language on the official site. Yeah criticise, but surely there's a way of doing it which people have probably overstepped

Its the same with youtube and in here, I was watching a video with my mate and his kid a while back and remember everyone just f'ing and blinding everywhere in the comments and trying to fight each other. Crazy

Doesn't mean everyone has to be all happy, and that the site wants to refrain from hearing negative comments, but I'd guess it was that reason.

That's why places like this are so valuable because they provide a place for fans to voice their concerns, and by and large minus the bad language you often get online. The club should really be making use of this valuable resource.

This is precisely why I don't believe that the club should try and run a forum, for them its too political. I've always been an advcoate of Everton having closer ties with the various forums, but I don't think that this view is necessarily shared by forum owners.

Everton need to see the fans unfettered rather than censured views.

That said, never really noticed the "ban" until it was mentioned.

I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but I hardly ever go on the OS other than trying to get tickets if the supporters club is having no joy.

More info, more open, and better knowledge on here quite frankly.

Yeah mate I agree with you there, often they do get out of hand, especially youtube videos, they always seem to result in arguments between americans and brits.

Thing is with the OS, i'm pretty sure the comments have to be moderated first anyway. Perhaps the quantity was too much for them to deal with.

Yeah true point, surely it could be filtered out....guess its quite a job though!

I don't think the club should be openly involved in running communities such as GOT, but they should certainly look to help out behind the scenes and have a presence on these sites to field questions. There's a whole host of research showing that this is a much more cost and time effective method of customer service than manning telephone lines.

I do not think that the Everton management and directors want to answer questions unless they are so innocuous as to be meaningless.

My comment after the Stoke game:

Correct me if I'm wrong please but it seems a lot of comment is being avoided by disabling OR limiting the discussion. Sounds awfully like a conspiracy but PARDON ME if I object strongly to the current state of OUR football club and the admission that there's no money to even find one decent striker... one more goal a game and we'd be - oh I dunno - TOP!!!

They still continue to either moderate or refuse comments - I don't know just how bad it got but it's not acceptable to be so draconian towards those who pay ALL their wages.

I doubt it was a conscious decision guys - more than likely to be something coinciding with the downtime the Official website suffered Yesterday.

Even if it was, you can hardly blame them. Remember, the official site is a worldwide first point of call for budding Evertonians, and the last thing the club wants them to read is how crap we are due to thousands of knee-jerk reactions after a defeat.

It's common sense to me. People need to remember what the OS is - a frontline marketing tool which allows dissemination of official information to fans.

This! The site exists to have basic news and sell tickets/merchandise. I'm surprised there is as many stories with criticism of the team as there already is.

I do agree that it would be awesome if they had more of a presence on sites such as this though. Other companies do this to great satisfaction of their customers. (I can think of poker websites as one example)
