I get the oft quoted phrase - but it's only dressed up as progress by those who stand to sell. Progress it certainly ain't.

I definitely am interested in reading it, if only to learn more about network analysis. But of course no matter their fancy stats, they still conflate predictability with boring, which is most definitely not true if you happen to be supporting one of the teams that predictably win.

Most matches are indeed boring, pretty sure that's the case for most sports though.

It's why I have always liked European football, and even the MLS.

Apart from us, I would prefer a Championship match to a PL one, as sides tend to be more evenly matched by and large.

Watched Roma-Genoa the other evening, could enjoy as a complete neutral and it finished 3-3 with some great goals.

I don't get why people would want to watch one of the top clubs in any league hand out a drubbing which is so often the case.

Apart from Everton I watch footie for fantasy football and betting reasons so for me it’s enjoyable and there is a reason to watch it. I wouldn’t watch a random championship game midweek just for fun.

Was saying to @JordanianEmbassy at the Watford game, I always look forward to coming back to Goodison, but this season I'm finding it difficult to get much enthusiasm about the league, it just feels like there's less and less competition, the money is obscene. Yes there are some great players, and the odd thriller but majorly hyped games (and players) fail to deliver more often than not.

I loved doing some league 2 games last season. If it wasn't for Everton I don't think I'd be arsed with the Premier League to be honest.
