A real low point of the year when you are forced to feel grateful and cheery towards despised senior management, particularly bad in my current company.

Anyone else dreading this over the festive period?

I mean no one wants to talk about work at the office party and who wants to talk about Everton other than me?

No one.

So I don't go.

Nobody within 20 years of my age at mine and I'm late 20s.

Our senior management never work in the office.

Yeah desperate to have a Xmas dinner with them zzzzzz

We stopped having big Christmas parties at my company a while back because nobody wanted to go to them. We now cut out of work early, proceed to a booked banquet area/room at a fantastic local Mexican food restaurant, and then exchange gifts after a glorious feast paid for by the company. And it's mandatory to attend! Hahahaha :)

ETA - And when I say glorious feast I truly mean that. Their food is delicious!

we have two. We have the official one which is the 50 quid a ticket gala thing which i swerved and the othe ris in the office where they are doing a 5 quid a head get food. That second one turns into get food and sit at your desk only so im swerving that this year as well. Last year one of the team leaders brother worked in an indian takeaway so we all got that to eat but they have left now so its half arsed sadly
