Ignore the fact they're second hand - they're refurbished. You can get a £1,000+ chair for a fraction of the price.

ta laHerman Miller or Steelcase - generally the Embody, Aeron or Leap. But even the Think and Please are apparently alright.
Either way, you'll be getting very much an "above average" office chair with any of those.
I've sat on a lot of office chairs in my time. I find it hard to believe you have to spend £300 on one to be comfy. The one I have at home was £80 and is very comfy.
