We could enter November riding high on the back of a victory against Chelsea in the Carling Cup and a tremendous win over League champions elect United, or we could go into a long Winter of discontent with 0 points and knocked out of the Cup which has eluded us since it's inception.

I don't know how to feel about these upcoming games. What about you lot ?

Liverpool (H)
Chelsea (A)
Fulham (A)
Chelsea (H)
United (H)

Liverpool (H) - Up in the air
Chelsea (A) - Dont think we'll lose that.
Fulham (A) - Dont think we'll lost that either
Chelsea (H) - Win.
United (H) - Loss.

1 loss out of the 5 games would be nice.

I don't think it makes or breaks us at all to be honest.

It happens every season; a period of difficult games that people believe will define our season. It never does really.

To be honest, if we went into these games (apart from Liverpool of course) and lost, but found consistency in the remaining games against the teams in and around us, I wouldn't mind.

I personally can see us winning the derby.

I think we'll either draw or lose to Chelsea away.

Fulham away is always a tricky game for us, but I'd fancy at least a point here.

Chelsea home I can see us winning; good cup atmosphere under the floodlights at the old lady, can see us winning on the night.

United home, it's the only game looking at the above list I'd be really delighted with a home point!

I agree it could be a very tough month, but the quality of the opposition will force us to raise our game and bring us closer together as a team.

In the past we would have played wigan wolves and bolton etc in october and still not got the results.

I think we may have a better season this year compared to last year.

Liverpool (H) Should win although no doubt they'll get a dodgy pen to get the draw
Chelsea (A) Draw with Saha scoring a screamer (if fit)
Fulham (A) Win/Draw
Chelsea (H) Win in extra time
United (H) Draw/Lose depending on how well we defend.

At best, yes. But no worse than 8th. This league is rubbish. Totally overrated. Sadly we've seen the end of the days when we got 5th. Those seasons will be looked back on as a Golden Age soon.

sad days indeed when being 5th is looked on as some golden age, said it on kipper years ago kenwright biggest acheivement has been to lower the fans sights to a point when being also rans is seen as an acheivement and sold as success, bloody sad times for this once great club and its fans when even the manager cant muster a we will finish in a decent position (euro) at the start of a season, even the fans are in decline half them are like Geordies put up with anything and think it makes them a better fan for it, never felt so far detacted from the club as i do now.
