Ocean confirmed on moon of Saturn

Great news and all this, impressive like. I like wondering about the future of the human race and if/when a migration to another planet will occur. IT's a fun scenario, though unlikely considering all the stuff that can make us all go collectively belly-up. BBC recently did a timeline of the future which is a fascinating read in that respect

Damned cold out there though and lets be honest it will a very long time if ever we could achieve the kinds of travel speed we need to get off our little sphere.

This makes it similar to jupiters moon Europa, which also has a crust of frozen water with a liquid ocean underneath caused by heat generated by gravity from the host planet.

It's difficult to actually go and test for life with satellites because landing a probe and drilling can easily introduce life forms/molecules from earth and potentially bugger it all up. The safest way to test for life forms or their molecules would be to orbit a satellite around the moon and try and catch some water fired up into space and analyse it. Fascinating stuff.

And the presence of water means there could be some form of life there too.

Yeah i think this is the most important part of the news.

Sure, maybe sometime in the future water on far away bodies could comein useful to the human race, but its the significance of water being present outside Earth meaning life can exist which is huge.

Won't be any kind of life worth anything, few fish maybe but if planets and moons that far from the sun have conditions for some kind of life then the chances are that planets in the goldilocks zone have intelligent life.

So everything ends before Everton win the league again? Thanks, Bill.
