now you're gonna hear about it
I saw that @nyc_evertonians is promoting their fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief via twitter and thought it might be appropriate to share here. Apparently the event ends tomorrow, sorry for the short notice.

*I don't know any more about the event than I'm going to share here, but thought you might be interested. Part of what might interest you is the Everton swag being raffled for donations.

EVENT DATE: SEP 21, 2013
It is with great pride that EFC NYC, an official supporters club representing not just New York City but also the Tri-State area, announces a raffle and auction of signed Everton FC shirts to benefit the ongoing Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. These shirts have been generously donated by the Club and have arrived here in NYC with the express purpose of raising funds for disaster relief. As we all know, there has been unprecedented damage and loss of life in our area. Most of us know people who have been severely affected, including even some of our very own fellow Blues. The recovery will continue for years and this is a great way for Everton and EFC NYC to again remind the world why Everton is a more than just a football club.
Everton's GK Tim Howard, a New Jersey native, wanted a way to help and kicked off the efforts to get his teammates together to assist. The Liverpool Echo got word of this and put the message out. Now it's up to us at EFC NYC to help bring some relief to our neighbors.
We have already raffled three of the shirts and we've got two left to go. Plus we've got some additional bar & restaurant gift certificates available as well! Raffle tickets will be given for each $10 donated. You can find all the details and photos of the shirts on EFCNYC.com.
When donating you will be given the choice of directing donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, primarily benefiting Staten Island victims, or the Breezy Point Disaster Relief Fund helping out the folks in Queens.
Please contact us at efcnycofficial@gmail.com with any questions.
And most importantly, THANK YOU for your generosity!
