Number 13

Hi all new to site looking forward to tonights match hopefully 3 points and a performance to match. I apologise if this has been asked somewhere before but I was wondering why no one has wore number 13 shirt since Iain Turner in 2006-2007. He moved to 12 the season after and that number has only been allocated to goalkeepers since. Is there a supersticion behind this non use of 13 as we don't even use it in reserves 12 for back up keeper 14-17 for outfield players. The last game played in the 13 shirt was a bad one for Turner when he dropped one and we conceded 4 against Man United but surely that was nothing to do with the number. Anyways hope you all have a good day and a few of our walking wounded recover for tonight! COYB!!!

It must purely come down to superstition 'unlucky' 13. I can't imagine the club just not using it. I grew up with number 13 Jason Kerton so it is sad to see no goalkeeper there.

PErhaps if we sign somobody who picks their own number will we see it get used again.
