he talks about choosing a football team to support post world cup. He says he was going to support everton, then some lid says in response

you dont choose everton, you are chosen. the guy dedicated a paragraph to it and sound like he was put off by our fierce supporter.

I added a comment to his article to try an assuage his concerns over the "You are chosen" comment. I don't know if it posted correctly though.
