I think I know what the problem is now...

When I press 'Settings' it says 'New Visitor Messages (1)'. The message is from carlos21 saying 'ian longo' :blink:

@GrandOldTeam Is there a problem with notifications at all? I've noticed a couple of times I've been tagged I haven't had an alert, same thing has also happened when messages have been quoted.

The other weird one was I got an alert when someone quoted a different members post, a thread I hadn't even posted in. I pm'd you about that but you've ignored me, I'll submit a complaint at some point.
