Just thought I would give you a Wolfs view on the game having just arrived back at Chez Richards!

I thought this was the most apt game for the age old cliche "A Game Of Two Halves" I have ever seen.

It is this simple- Mick got it very wrong from our point of view in the first half, which he has admitted himself. Going 4-4-2 and leaving Jones and Henry exposed went badly wrong. We were very lucky to go in only 1-0 down, even if Cahill did foul Craddock for the goal :dodgy:! Having said that it should have been a penalty anyway, so can't complain too much! I was expecting to see you boys come out and take us to the cleaners second half, as Arteta was controlling the game and we looked lost.

But whatever happened at half time, something went very right for us and badly wrong for you! Ward's excellent last ditch tackle aside, I don't really think you seriously tested us and as the game went on I think we looked more likely to win. Bringing on Guedioura and switching Jarvis to the left worked wonders for us, and Hibbert didn't know what to do in the last 20 minutes when Jarvo was running at him!

As for our goal, I can't comment too much about Gued's tackle on Heitinga because I missed it behind a pillar, but I thought on the balance of play second half, we just about deserved it!

It was a great point for us, and I wouldn't be too downhearted, because in another game, you would have been out of sight at half time! Positives for both teams to take away today, and I looked forward to the return at The Mol!

Well played today, although your fans seemed to get carried away with themselves in the bullens road?

We just like to enjoy ourselves- apologies for any offence!

Really disappointed by the lack of atmosphere in the home end today! I know it is only "little" Wolves in your eyes, but it was much better last season!

We hate you and you are getting banned.

I thought we dominated play for about the 1st 75 min then Wolves outworked us at the. Wolves don't have much creativity (though not having Hunt hurt for you guys) but its apparent that MM has gotten the squad is in tremendous shape. So fair play to u guys, seems our problem is getting that final ball in. We seriously need a striker to step up. Maybe we've become a poor man's Arsenal. Thought the ref was crap but both goals were legit.

Good luck on the season. Hunt is one of my favorite non-everton players. Please knock off a few teams above us (i.e. everybody). We need all the help we can get.

Can't really argue with that, although Jones is an excellent creative player when he is not overrun. Our 4 against your 5 in midfield today was never going to work and it was only when we bought Guedioura on, moved Jarvis left and dropped Doyle deep that we came to terms with you! And as you say, over the past 3 years, we have become an extremely fit team and that pays dividens in tight games like today!

You should have used some of that 17M MM had to make a bid for Yobo. Would have been a nice addition to Wolves.

So what your saying is your manager saw it wasn't working so changed it! Bloodyhell do managers do that?

Mick has admitted in his press conference that he got it badly wrong and takes full responsibility for what he called an "abject" first half!

That was a fairly good assessment to be fair to you, mate.

And I can't blame Wolves for their tactics. They don't have any silky smooth Spaniards; can't expect them to play sexy football. I did think some of the fouls on our players were incredibly cynical, and some nasty (that rib kick on Arteta springs to mind). The ref should have got his cards out a bit and stopped that, but alas he did not. What an awful referee Lee Mason is.

I thought you just bundled us over, pulled at us etc at every opportunity without punishment, he even got the free kick wrong when we scored according to the radio.

we were spain and you were the dutch.
