Not Giving In

We're not the team that scores the most goals, but the ones we score are absolutely world class and delectable. I simply can't have enough of these.

A great reminder of the wild ride that was last year and how boss this team can be. I kinda don't mind that they included the punches to the gut at the end as it reminds you exactly how and why we need to be even better.

I loved last season, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking that this season is a fluke because of the quality of our loans and fearing that this upcoming season will be a step backwards. 2 weeks ago, that video would have made me very sad because of how integral Lukaku clearly is to our scoring.

However, reliving all those great moments knowing that Lukaku really and truly is ours now (and Barkley, Coleman, and Stones resigned) and there are lots of very real reasons to think that we can push forward this year and that the next few years could be a really fun run for Blues.

I wonder though if we can expect Mirallas and Coleman to improve upon their goal tallies last season. Kev is key and I think he'll do well this season barring injury, but I worry Coleman's scoring was a fluke. Couple of tap ins there.

I don't think any team could possibly expect their full backs to score as many as Coleman did this term. He's surpassed every reasonable expectation. He just needs to retain his incredibly threatening runs on the wing whilst doing everything right in defense, and I'm sure he'll score/assist amply this season again. Still, a defender shouldn't be evaluated by the number of goals he scores.
