Sorry, this was meant to be in a new thread,

Today I took my dearly beloved to a fancy Chinese today for mothers day treat. A quarter of the way through the meal my top set of dentures came out and I had forgotten the fixative. Try eating and talking in a fancy Chinese with a top set of teeth about to fall out. I couldn'y stop laughing at what I'd do with the teeth when they fell out ie which table I would throw them on and could I do it first time.

Just my warped sense of humour. :o:o:o

 Good man, my sense of humour too! (y)

Ah, there's the rub. I already have a contract with O2 and two unlocked phones - an old Nokia 7110 (one of the first sliders but it's more just to cover the keys) that I've just bought, refurbished (a new, lighter, longer lasting battery and a fast charge wall charger) for only £25 off eBay, and a Motorola RAZR V3 bought new - also eBay - for £40. The Nokia is for when I just want a phone for a phone (great Retro-looking phone and the tinny Mission Impossible ring tone always makes me smile) and the RAZR when I go out and might want to take pictures.

I also have a wife who thinks me buying an i-Phone when I'm currently working my notice from Royal Mail would be grounds for divorce!

I'd shake those parcels a bit more Pete.

I bought my daughter an ipod touch.
It does pretty much most things the iphone does except make calls ... but then you have a phone.

There's a thing on Ebay called the Sci-phone, that you can get for less than £50.

I bought one of those but there are annoying things about them, like having to unlock it with a finger-sliding action - which often takes four or five goes to work - to answer a call and I missed too many calls that way. I ended up reselling it, and another Nokia slide I had (locked to 3 - boy am I glad that my 3 contract is over!) for a total of £75 and paying less than that - including postage - for the Nokia 7110 (the first WAP phone by the way) and the RAZR

I wasn't that fussed about the Apple i-Phone until I compared it to the SciPhone in an Orange shop. Then I was fussed! :o

Incidentally, my notice has nothing to do with shaking parcels, m'lud, I just took too much time off to save me old knees! They may at least have had the decency to wait until I get the results of the MRI scan I had Thursday. Still, when I sit in front of the appeals manager I'll have them, nice and crisp and damning!
