Norwich AWAY (Sat 12th Dec) pubs/day out advice

Hello all.
I will be going to Norwich when we're playing them in away December and staying over with friends.

Never been to Norwich so any advice on pubs/bars etc for away fans before and then decent places for the night out afterwards would be appreciated!

Norwich is the only away I've been to outside of London/Anfield. The ground is in a shiite location, tucked away at the back of a retail park (and there, but for the grace of God, goes us).

The town itself is nice though. There's a pub/theatre thing called the Grovesnor with a plaque on the side commemorating a 1963 Beatles gig, which must've been just before they went nuclear.

There's a few bars in the city center that are really popular, The Sixth Digit, The Missing Link.The Oo Arr Bar, and Kissing Cousins.

The designated away pubs are The Bog Eyed Stepchild, and The Pikeys Armpit.

All the above serve a wide selection of Mead an Gin.

My only advice when going to Norwich would be set out early. It's a b*****d of a place to get to from Merseyside.

Will be travelling from West Yorkshire but it'll still be a 6:00AM start if I go on the day.

Compleat Angler by the train station is the usual away pub. Plus the Queen of Icini (Weatherspoons) on the Riverside complex is usually full of blues

The city (more of a town) is nice enough, wouldn't visit if it wasn't for Everton though. Nightmare of a journey.

Just off the market place is a bar called the Belgian Monk, serves super strength beer and will be appropriate for when Rom and Kev notch hat-tricks each...
