My little country Northern Ireland have announced our provisional squad for the European Championships.

Northern Ireland squad: A Mannus (St. Johnstone), M McGovern (Hamilton Academical), R Carroll (Notts County); C Cathcart (Watford), J Evans (West Bromwich Albion), G McAuley (West Bromwich Albion), L McCullough (Doncaster Rovers), C McLaughlin (Fleetwood Town), L Hodson (MK Dons), A Hughes (Melbourne City), D Lafferty (Burnley), P McNair (Manchester United), M Smith (Peterborough United), S Davis (Southampton), O Norwood, (Reading), C Evans, (Blackburn Rovers), S Ferguson (Millwall), B Reeves (MK Dons), S Dallas (Leeds United), N McGinn (Aberdeen), W Grigg (Wigan Athletic), K Lafferty (Norwich City), C Washington (Queens Park Rangers), B McKay (Dundee Utd), L Boyce (Ross County), J Ward, (Nottingham Forest), C Baird (Derby County), J Magennis (Kilmarnock).

No real surprises in the squad and no real injury concerns other than the already ruled out Chris Brunt who endured quite a painful winter, getting hit in the eye by a coin thrown by his own supporters, only to do his cruciate shortly after.

Steven Davis is our captain and by far our standout player. Literally head and shoulders above anyone else we have. We are effectively a good championship team with a style based on being very solid at the back, and looking to spring Kyle Lafferty on the break.

Our Predicted Lineup would be as follows:

Mcgovern
McGlaughlin Evans Mccauley Cathcart
Mcnair
Ward Davis Norwood Dallas
Lafferty

Getting out of our group will be very very tough but we will give it a good go. I'm looking forward to joining the boys for our second match in Lyon against Ukraine and then on to Paris for the Germany game.

Oh and finally...... WILL GRIGG IS ON FIRE.

I'm heading to the game in Belfast tomorrow night for our send off before France. Slightly baffled by the shocking opposition we've picked in the form of Belarus, but hoping for a confidence boosting win to stretch the unbeaten run to 11. Last chance for anyone to impress as we announce our squad on Saturday morning.

More importantly looking forward to welcoming Will Grigg back into a green shirt.

For a country of 1.6 million people we are doing very nicely, you on the other hand as the birthplace of the sport and 50 million people to choose from are decidedly average. Perhaps you could tell us how you won the World Cup in 1966, again.

We won a World Cup Final mert.

Theres some people on the pitch, they think its all over..................
