I nearly put £10 on at 45/1 for NI, Eng and Rep of Ireland to win, but fully expected NI to get smashed so avoided it (although obviously Rep of Ire result would of screwed me anyway). Great result for NI and a quality header for the goal.

I was at the game last night - we played really well and totally deserved the win. We could actually have won by a bigger margin, one goal disallowed for tight offside decision and Ward unlucky when striking the base of the post. The whole crowd seemed stunned that we won though as despite playing some really nice football lately we don't have a cutting edge and were missing quite a few key players last night. Big Gareth McAuley was simply awesome.

Russia still look good to finish 1st. Portugal need to win all of their remaining games and hope Russia slip up again in order to finish top. Russia-Israel will certainly be interesting now though, Israel with all to play for again. A draw in that match and Portugal will be laughing.
