Anybody else have this particular issue ?

I could hear every word of Leann Rhimes “Live without you” (Worthy of the death penalty on its own) coming through the floor this morning. Surely if you can tell exactly what song is playing in a different flat the music is too loud lol

I tried knocking on to no avail, I think he’s hiding from the TV license people based on letters I’ve seen arriving for him, so I’ve now had to resort to sticking a note on his door.

Are we a nation of deaf people ?

Tbh when you can hear the words I can cope with it, it's when you just hear a fuzzy base sound that grinds my gears.

Ive used the noise app before now, it works very well...

My council will reposnd if appropitae and fire off a letter warning in the first instance of their noisy behaviour...

Not adverse to a bit of loud music a party now and again etc.

However, a neighbour would leave a radio on all day right by an open upstairs window, it went on for weeks.

Until i snitched with the app... There is no need for continous loud music these days with the quality of wireless head/earphones.

All is quite now and they still dont talk to me which is even better.

I found myself actually plotting to kill a neighbour who lived behind me, before I got a grip. Loud music is used by military forces to break people and it damn nearly did me -but for the grace of whatever deity you choose to believe in. In the end I moved house, but it is something I have a very short fuse for. I have no problem with the odd hour, or even a party - but this utterly selfish prat did it EVERY day all day through the summer, with windows wide open. Every neighbour hated him, every neighbour complained- zero procreation verbs were given. These were the days before councils did anything about noise.

These idiots always play the same crappy dance music too. One day I hoisted my not insubstantial speakers up to the window and gave him some Pavarotti at 300W for an hour or so. Eventually he closed his windows. I got a round of applause from other neighbours when I finished!

I've had problems with the people that live directly behind my house, the doof doof bass drives me pure bonkers. If it were occasional it wouldn't bother me but it got to the stage where it was every friday and saturday night so i started grassing them up to the cops the inconsiderate bastards. Reckon over a 2 year period i rang the cops 15 times on them and seems like they've finally got the hint as i haven't heard much out of them for well over a year.

Was always amusing sitting out the back then hearing the music stop abruptly and hear them apologising to the cops. Always wanted to go rev up my brushcutter or chainsaw at first light after they'd had a big night drinking just to wake them up but too lazy to get out of bed myself for that.
