Love this song, apart from the fact that it reminds me of being a kid its just such a nice laid back theme.

No list of instrumental songs can be without some Air. They probably do better songs but the bit where the music kicks in at 0:45 is just fantastic.

The best thing to ever come out of the Netherlands. Until Koeman wins us the league obviously.

Got me going now actually...3 more.

Rubbish film but what a song. Took stupidly long for him to win an Oscar as he is a musical genius. I love how the drums are all over the place.

Love great pop and rock and jazz and classical music...etc Obviously lyrics can make a song resonate with all of us..but I was always drawn to instrumental music early ...Dad had a great collection of 78s classical stuff..Mozart, Beethoven etc which I loved, and when as a 9/10 year old I discovered pop music this was the first tune I loved....later on of course words became important but this has always been a "Eureka" moment for me. Anyway what are your favourite or much loved tunes sans lyrics ? xxx

Got well in to Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Phaedra and Mike oldfield, as a kid. Then the latter only, once I'd tired of uninteresting synthesisers compared with the timbre of an actual instrument.
Then I discovered the power, beauty and emotion that can be expressed with a voice. I listen to very little instrumental now, other than the classics. Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Vaughan Williams, Handel, Purcell.

Trouble is they're all gone now and all you get are tribute bands, like the Royal Philharmonic.

When Genesis used to do Prog Rock. Los Endos from the Trick of the Tail album.

Cheers mate. Just had goosebumps watching that. Great live band in their day. Loved thst line up wiyh Bruford too. That was the line up for the Seconds Out tour. Best live album ever imo.
