No Man's Sky (PS4)

Ok then fellow nerds, who here has played NMS and what are your initial thoughts of the game?

I played it for five hours yesterday and still haven't got a ship that works.

Quite like wandering round and mining stuff on my planet, Hairy Spuds 1, and once my ship is operational i think i'll lose hours and days hopping about.

Can see why a lack of action and any real story might deter some but, for now, it gets a cautionary thumbs up from me.

Sent me to sleep literally.

As much as I wanted to enjoy it, just seems to be walking round constantly. Nothing else to do. Occasionally there is a landmark miles away but yeah, just seems to be such a basic game underneath the fancy words advertising.

15 quintillion planets! And they have nothing on them and are all the same on a theme!

I'm quite enjoying it but I'm not sure how long I will for.

When you've first fixed your ship and head into space for the first time it actually feels like an awesome achievement. But that's in the first hour. After that, I've started to enjoy it less and less.
