As I'm only a young fan I haven't seen Everton EVER win a trophy EVER. Best I've seen us get is when we got beat by Chelsea in 09.. anyone else on here like me and want to know what it feels like to actually see Everton not bottle it and go out and win something?

have only really seen us win 95' fa cup(too young to appreciate it in the 80's) and i never thought it would ever happen, its worth waiting for tho mate, that year was fantastic

I was 4 years old when we won the cup in 95, i would be lying if i said i remembered it. I feel your pain brother. But it will be sweet, oh so sweet when the mighty Blues taste from the cup of victory instead of the goblet of despair. Remember these days, for when we take back our place as kings of England we will have truely known the distance we have come these last decades*

Gladiator is on ffs, i got caught up in the moment

I hope you're right you know, it's about time we actually win something soon, maybe next year, i think we have got a good chance if we keep our big players (felli baines etc) but then again thats just me being an optimistic [Poor language removed] like us Evertonians do

Where were you last season?

I was a junior Evertonian in the 80's (if i remember righly it was 80p to get in with your little card) when we won the league and and cups, my brother wanted to take me to rotterdam for the final as well but me ma was having none of it (was only 14). still havent completely forgiven her, but it was an amazing time to be a blue. I have got kids not in their teens and it pisses me off that they havent seen us win anything!!!

I was a teenager when we were champions twice in the 1980s and it felt ridiculously good. The media used to talk about "Liverpool & Everton" in the reverent tones now reserved for City & United. But the era was ruined by two things:

1. The European ban
2. Losing the FA Cup final two years in a row.

The European one I have never gotten over. Try to understand, we were actually widely tipped to win the European Cup before Heysel happened. All over Europe, fans and experts thought we were the best club side on the planet at that time. So I had a lingering hope that we could one day win the European Cup... until Sky came along and made it possible for Man Utd and other to finally cash in on their global fanbases.

Yeah it's annoying to be honest when you watch video's like the semi final at home against Bayern in 85 it just pisses me off with us not being able to do that now, it's painful
