why is there no epl this weekend? my saturday morning chi has been has been blown up. im subjected to a "friendly" between the us and south africa? does friendly mean the game doesn t mean anything? who wants to watch a bunch of little rich handpicked undertalent fags play football against south africa? then after that its isreal vs russia? whats that? i hope they dont take a lot of these breaks.

Its got to be a wind up.

its good to be back. im a litlle bitter. no epl games on tv today or tomorrow. i dont like all these off weeks. i like the europe league thats ok but i dont understand these friendlies as theyre called. if i had players on my team i wouldnt allow them to play in friendlies. they can play in euro and world cupo thats fine but no friendlies. too much money invested to allow them to play in games that dont mean anything. plus it f up my saturday morning when the epl isnt on.

Its sort of a drawback of following a sport that is played all around the world.... these things called internationals get in the way.

seriously though - do you follow football or not? seems a lot of your posts are wind-ups....

i do. i really just dont know much about it at that level. and i dont know what a wind up is so whatever that is i dont do it.

Can i suggest a bit of background reading...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_(soccer) sections 4 and 5... in fact probably all of it

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2007/11/17/sfnopt117.xml

And assuming you aren't a troll:
No i dont think players are forced - they want to do it. Think in terms of the olympics its a similar model.

Yes, sometimes it does feel a bit annoying when the international breaks get in the way of a decent run - but it can be useful when youre struggling with injuries etc.

He's a troll, just one word about super freak footballers in our game and I'm going to explode every expletive over this page.

they wont be playing in the african nations cup or concacaf or anything like that. here we play for team first, money second, god third, and country somewhere about 11th behind women and drugs. the africans are dominating right now. the americans, are bigger, faster, better, stronger and theyll be totally devoted to everton while everyone else is getting hurt playing in euro or the african nations cup. its actually one of the great advantages of american players. they arent controlled by governments or sociliast international organizations. theyre controlled by who writes their paychecks. thats where loyalties lie here
