I don't like all this rebranding nonsense, especially where acronyms are involved, it shows laziness in communication.

EFL my ar$e. To me it's still the Football League and we're still in division 1. Its much less confusing that way, and no sponsors have ever paid me a penny to use their names. In fact since wholesale sponsorship by big businesses, the sport has been priced out of my market, so what's the benefit to the punter?

even when it became the premiership followed by division 1, 2 and 3 it wasn't awful.

But the re-naming to the championship was absurd. premiership followed by championship, how on earth does that make sense?

The not making sense is absolute proof that the whole fiasco is run by idiotic morons. People might say that they're successful morons who have collected a lot of money, but that only brings into question the intelligence of the average armchair watcher who hands the cash over to the media moguls.

I actually kinda wanted to see the Old Firm in the English league set up.

Just to watch them get battered, mostly.

Let them stew up there. Those with longer memories will remember when the (financial) boot was on the other foot, and after Heysel, Scotland, or Glasgow really, was the lure of cash for players.

Cant recall them wanting to play in England then.

TBH I was really hoping that the Scots would vote to sexit so we wouldn't have to endure Scottish football results.
