OH MY GOD SOMEONE MADE A LIST OF SONGS THAT I DONT AGREE WITH SO THEY'RE ALL WRONG AND I'M RIGHT AND THEY ONLY INCLUDED POP SONGS TO BE POPULAR UNLIKE ME WHO ONLY HATE POP SONGS TO BE POPULAR AMONG MUSIC CLIQUE NERDS.

But seriously, i'll never ever understand how people get so worked up over these top 100 things.

Its either A : subjective to personal taste so there is no right or wrong, or B : a wind up to piss people off and you're falling for it.

It's annoying because I absolutely know this and still get (mildly) wound up!

When you think about it, and break it down, I doubt people could even agree what "best" actually means.

To be fair, I doubt anyone really give a ****. They just read it, go yeah I disagree with that, make a few snide comments and then get on with their lives. It's just a way of killing a few minutes and sharing your own opinions (which everyone likes doing).

I'll be honest with you, I enoy reading opinions I disagree with more than ones I agree with. It certainly doesn't anger me so much as it makes me feel smugly superior. And I quite enjoy the give and take of arguing with someone when their personal tastes differ to my own. If I didn't, I wouldn't post on this forum.
 

Sometimes you gotta look outside the box and realise that although some of them arn't nessessarily your favourite songs, they were still massive massive hits. I like Beyonce but Crazy In Love isn't really my fave song but I can absolutely see why it's up there. It was huuuuuuuge and still is.

That's just it, they all weren't massive hits. It's a mixture of blatant pop songs that were popular and some stuff even I've never listened to. It's a weird list that appears to have been put together by a committee whose taste vary wildly.

BTW, in the interest of fair play, I am listening to the Beyonce song for the first time ever. I'm open minded. It's pretty **** to be honest, not even remotely the best track of the decade. I'm ok with people picking songs from artists or genres I don't really listen to, but at least pick something pretty special.

At the end of the day, these lists are conversation starters. It's the banter, disagreements, and feedback that's the fun part.
