Nightlife in Belfast...

It's crap... everywhere is a taxi ride away from each other unless you go to the bars/clubs in the odyssey where it's like drinking in a shopping centre.

Been about 2 years since I last went but I'm sure the licencing laws there are still like what they were in England 10 years ago i.e everywhere closes at 2 except for 1 or 2 places where you can only buy vodka after 2am.

heading up there next week.....anyone know the place that can recommend a good late bar or club?....

the new cathedral end is very good but depends on what your after. Start with some of good drinking bars round town like The John Hewitt, The Dirty Onion, The Spaniard, Ally Cat, The Duke of York or Harp Bar (all within 30 seconds walk of eachother).

Clubs again depends what your after.. Ollies and 21 Social are the main clubs if your after some ladies.

I personally recommend Laveries for a bit of everything which is about 10 minutes walk from the town but well worth it, good nightclub at the top. There are a fair few other bars that side of town as well which are brilliant like Flithy McNastys or The Empire, and there are plenty of place that way for late night grub!

Enjoy

Huh?? you sure your on about Belfast... the city centre has easily 50-60 bars and the city centre and you could walk it in 5 minutes.

Yeah late night drinking i would agree with you on which is crap..... but problem solved.... people usually head out earlier!!

Ollies charged £10 in and its a **** version of Modo. Didn't even think that was possible.

The Crown is one of the best pubs I've ever been to, and I've been to a few. Open late, live diddly diddly music in the back if that's your thing. Opposite the theatre

Definetley go to laverys as one of the above posts states. It has a good atmosphere shows all the games and has a good choice of different music afterwards.
