just watched Collins interviewing Arteta....kissing his #ss about how great it would be for Arsenal to win the FA cup...then he switched to the Everton game on Sunday....his question to Arteta >>> do you think Martinez is good enough to manage a Top 4 club one day?......

and he didn't mean Everton....

what is Sky's problem.....surely its great for the league that we're challenging the top 4....they should be praising us, but instead all they ever do is link our players & managers with other clubs....martinez is barely in the door, and they want him gone again....its the same every week on Sky, every conversation on Everton switches immediately to players leaving.....

and how the hell would it be arteta's business what our manager does.....incredible question, so disrespectful...

The Barclays site was running a poll on who everyone thinks will win the league, guess what, Everton are one of the choices so it is clear that this attitude is just one from the media and we should perhaps surf the wave as long as possible and maintain our status as the 'plucky underdogs' as long as we can. Media coverage will be fantastic as we win more games and start taking trophies.

Rednapp in his preview for our game was intimating basically that Everton were riding the feel good wave on Merseyside due to Liverpool's form mate, nothing surprises me with these melts.

Lets see how stupid they all look come the 12th when Martinez will be managing a top 4 side already :)

A more pertinent question to Arteta would have been, do you now regret leaving everton for a club that's since won nothing and whose place in the top 4 looks under threat from the team you left

Mate I know it's tough but the fact is outside of the faithful we haven't done a thing of note since 1995 avoiding relegation in the Wimbledon game is about the only thing a whole generation can recall.

4th and defeated fa cup finalists barely register and bragging about 7th ish is just delusion it's all about winning silverware and in SKY years that means Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea with City buying in.

We few, we happy few ... may love our club but to 30 yr old media editors we are Stoke, Norwich, West Ham etc. Fodder occasionally registering with a surprising win but overall non entities never going to compete.

We need silverware to be taken seriously again.
