Player Valuation: £100m
We've all been commenting on this years TV money and how Martinez has said he will split into two.

A portion or it will go into transfers and the rest of it will go into Finch Farm and also housing for the players to sleep on site.

I was just thinking that if the TV money is so large this year and is ongoing (not sure of the length of the deal) then from next year we may be able to do two other things also.

If we increase the squad size this year as he has said then perhaps the idea for next year is to then go out and sign one or two top notch players as starters? We'd have more money than most clubs outside of England.

Also, with the numbers involved then possibly over a few years ee have enough to build a new stadium ?

The YMCA project is years off, if it ever happens at all. They certainly won't be spending part of this year's extra revenue on a non-existent project that has no planning permission.

We don't need to wait a year to invest in top notch players, or to put a sizeable amount of cash towards a new stadium. The opportunity to do either of those things is possible right now. Although the new stadium project is at the same stage as the YMCA project, the non-existent stage.

Why would martinez say thats where some of the funds are going?

I don't think he did say that. He said something that indicated he approves of investing in training facilities. There are no plans to build a YMCA at Finch Farm at this current time, and I can't see it happening at all under Bill Kenwright.

Would Bill have any direct say in how Martinez spends money? I've always been under the impression that he/Elstone pretty much leave the managers to it (once they've given them a budget). If Martinez wanted to spend all of our transfer money on non-player related stuff, I doubt Bill/Elstone would say a thing.
