Next seasons season tickets. A good way ahead.

H.H.

Player Valuation: £10m
After many more years than I wanna mention, lack of a job etc was going to make me finally give up my S/T but Spurs have come up with season ticket renewal that is hopefully win win (that's ignoring the current standard of football.)

To be able to renew, you only have to pay up front 20% of the season ticket price.
When games are eventually allowed to be played in front of a reduced capacity crowd, if you want, you can enter a ballot to be one of the unlucky few to get a ticket for the game you apply for and you pay for every time you attend.
If you don't want to go you don't have to enter the ballot.

IF full capacity is eventually allowed next season, you then have to pay the cost of the remaining season ticket home games and as I think there is a fair chance that won't happen next season, that would mean I can keep my good S/T seat so that if things are better financially the season after it works out well.

Another plus. Because of this seasons cancelled home games, Spurs already have enough of my money for me not to have to find the 20% up front fee.

Same. Renewed mine yesterday. Credit from this season covered the deposit with a bit left over.

IF fans are allowed back next season, it will be at 25% capacity. So as you say, hold on to your preferred seat for no actual outlay.

Seems a sensible scheme. Benefits all involved.

Glad you could get sorted.

I personally reckon there is only going to be losers when they bring back reduced crowds.

Football is a crazy game, and the fans are equal to boot, you really think that some of the lads who haven’t missed a game for 25 years are going to go down without a fight if they can’t get a ticket for the derby yet, a lad who buys tickets and sells them on Stubhub is gonna get a seat. Will be murder.

It has to happen, but Christ almighty, I’m glad I’m not in charge of operating that one!

We had to pay for the ticket in full, which I'm perfectly happy with, but I fully suspect most of the money spent on renewing mine will roll over to the 21/22 season.

The whole lottery situation here would bring up more problems unless you get a fair balance of the different categories.

You may well be correct?
I used to be one of them but I still have mates who until lockdown, hadn't missed a home or away game for many years but since lockdown, now they have "missed" games and their run has been broken, they are now not bothered about needing to go to every game. I think a fair few supporters of other clubs will maybe also have the same viewpoint?

Selling on tickets for profit. To try and stop this happening, cos they now have a state of the art stadium and if I read the email correctly, for the coming season, Spurs are planning to get rid of all season ticket cards and entry will be by smartphone access only. If you don't have a smartphone, tickets will supposedly only be able to be used if you supply photo I.D to get in. Don't know how successful they will be to make the last part work though but with no away supporters being able to g or sell them on, it may be easier to stop, especially if you're threatened with a ban if bought a ticket "off a mate?"

I didn't realise that other clubs had already made decisions on next seasons season tickets sales. With the chance of no games at all having any fans next season, Everton making you pay for a whole season upfront makes Spurs decision to charge just 20% of the cost up front is looking very good.

P..S. If no games are played next season, we will get the 20% back.

Beating the Arse, and not being there.

That must have been tough?

As it wasn't possible to be at the game and having plenty of time to bet ready for the fact, it wasn't that hard to come to terms with and beating them was still a great feeling.

Good to hear.

Fair play to Tottenham, full respect even, I bet other teams aren’t as good as that.

I hope people don’t try to fleece the desperate. I do like the idea of just paying when your successful.

I’d like a system where you’re allowed to be allocated a ticket, and if 10,000 are allowed in, the first 10k go with tickets, then go to the back of the queue, then you’re getting 1 in 4.
