Next season summer transfer window

JLW

Player Valuation: £70m
Next month all 20 PL clubs will decide if the summer transfer window next year will close before the season starts!
Do we agree??

14/20 clubs have to be in favour for it to be given the green light!

It will stop PL teams from signing players once the season has kicked off, but it doesn't stop players leaving, to Spain Italy Germany etc.. Surely this is not going to be beneficial to the PL clubs??

Nah I think it is a huge positive.

It will focus minds on getting clubs ready for the important bit - playing football - rather than panic purchases when they don't win their first three games. If you get a couple of injuries in the first game, that's bad luck, but you'll get a chance to use that promising kid in the u23s rather than a jaded professional looking for a short term deal who'll do no more that 5/10 performances that whole time he's here.

Clubs (like us) are already sorting business in May/June in advance of the August start of season. It's a three month window, far too much.

I agree with it upto the point where PL players can still get sold abroad surely that doesn't help us

So the window shuts and your 2 weeks into the season and one of Europe's top teams come in for your star player. And you can't replace him. How is that making things better ?
The Coutinho situation is a perfect example if it was 12 months later!! They would now have a player who doesn't want to play for them and can't replace him until January

player power is too much, in this situation i think the club should have every right to not pay the player any wages. If i keep telling my workplace, "nah, i don't want to work there anymore, so i'm not coming in". They're not going to continually pay my wages. Clubs should also have reasonable grounds to dock them wages if they feel the player is not trying 100% in certain situations.

Anyway, windows end at different times of the year all around the world anyway, so can't see how it can be a disadvantage for the PL tbh.
