there's a bit of a differentiation between youth and inexperience though. In all sports you get late bloomers, in events where they're inexperienced, they are still more level headed than a young player who is more used to the situation.

if you shackle him too much, you will lose some of his best attributes. I think it's best to take the rough with the smooth with players like that.
