With Newcastle in potential trouble over tac avoidance national insurance avoidance and dodgy practices, I wonder how rife this is in football? Is this the reason Mike Ashley suddenly wants rid? Because if they are found guilty surely the price of the club would decrease?

I remember West Ham being raided at the same time over the same issues.
It was tax and IIRC something to do with signing players from France.

Not totally sure where he was signed from by Newcastle really. If the allegations are true then it does spell trouble for Newcastle and others..

Not sure if it's the same thing but weren't Rangers guilty of the same thing that got them relegated to the bottom tier?
