I used to drink in Newark every other weekend when I was doing my basic at RAF Swinderby though that was a LONG time ago (1990!) on the alternate weekends I used to drink in Lincoln.
In Newark there used to be a bunch of decent alehouses near castle gate. dont know much else about it now though.
