I made a resolution in 1995 that I've kept to this day - not to accept targets or resolutions either self imposed or imposed by management just made because of an arbitrary time of year. I've never failed in this. All my targets relate solely to what needs to be done as and when arises.

I know what you mean, but been out of job scene for nearly 2 years. With a valid reason mind, but that reason is not here anymore, so the new year seems as good a time as any to me. Nowt stressful, maybe back into the delivery game with a supermarket, or just a supermarket shop floorer.

Seems to be, delivery esp. Which aint going to diminish as a service any time soon.

Been a hard time for you @roydo and I guess you gotta turn your mind to work eventually.

For what’s it’s worth, you’re a people person and would be great with customers in a shop or supermarket. Would you rule out a return to finance/ pensions totally?

Its been hard for everyone mate.

Not a chance of going back into pensions and stuff. Hated it by the time I left. I am incredibly fortunate that I dont have to work, but want to. That is a privilege not afforded to many of my age. That is hard.
