Same here mate, even before the kids I’d stopped going out, as it was invariably a massive anti climax, a waste of money / couldn’t get served and loads of bellends out in bevvying jumpers who couldn’t handle their ale .

Off to a friends of the missus- there'll be 12 or so of us for a full on roast, some games and plenty of beers.

Wouldn't want to have to be young again, going out to be ripped off in pubs listening to horrendous music pretending to enjoy it with a rictus smile with everybody else in the hope of landing a breeding partner. Growing old has its advantages.

I remember going to Stirling a few years ago with the missus. Drinking in the street with thousands whilst deacon blue played. It rained, was freezing and I promised I’ll never ever venture out on New Year’s Eve ever again.
