...any wager on the first game we trot those bad boys out? God those things are sweet. I even like the socks.

It's Chelsea.

Cos of course Chelsea have an abundance of Neon Pink in their home kit.

Even though I like it, I see it as a deffo Kitbag & LeCoq Cashcow, as with the colour of our 2nd, we don't actually need a 3rd. The contracts I bet are for 3 new ones every season.

can get pricey.

I'd like to see this be our full time away kit. The salmon kit should be the change strip.

form an orderly queue at the shop for refunds in that case mate, was marketed as a 2nd strip, thats what suprises me about even having this 3rd when not required. I reckon they will ask chelsea to put the goalie in pink or get the ref and lino's to wear it then claim it was the only option.

If they had in the 1st place made the new one the 2nd then thats a different kettle of fish altogether, as there would be a justification for needing a 3rd, prob weren't helped by the fact that Blackburn away were our 1st opponents.

As someone who didn't grow up watching English soccer, can someone explain why there is a need for a 3rd kit anyway? And why are they always weird colors that have NOTHING to do with the REAL team colors? Why did Arsenal play in yellow for so many years for God's sake? It's ridiculous.

well they need change colours because often kits clash.

if we have the blue, and the new one then we will have a clash when we play against, blackburn, wigan amd birmingham to name 3 that spring to mind. The pink wouldn't clash with anyone.

when kits used to be plain affairs then Arsenal by having yellow as their 2nd would cover pretty much every eventuality, barring a cup draw maybe.

Our 3rd kit was Amber for years, and then yellow.

Salmon Pink was one of our earliest colours, and our 1st trophy was whilst wearing Ruby

Anyone got any photos of the new one?... Only ones I can find are on the clubshop site and can't tell too much.

Got the home and am undecided which of the Pink/Vanilla to ask for an Xmas present.

Also, anyone noticed that on the 3rd, when selecting a player's name & number - there's no option for Baines?!...

Ok fair enough. But we just because we have the same colors as Chelsea doesn't mean we can't wear all white on the road or white tops and blue shorts with Chelsea wearing the opposite right? Sorry for the ignorance, but it's just not something you see over here. Teams have home and away unis and that's it. Depending on the sport it's dark tops/white tops for home and away. I was always curious about that. Thanks for the answer.

Against chelsea yes , but blackburn no, wigan no, birmingham no, teams with blue and white stripes no.

no clash of colour is allowed whatsoever, not even socks. A lot of teams dropped their traditional 'non-clashing' away strips i.e. we had amber/yellow, and no team has enough yellow and blue for it ever to come up (europe & shrewsbury excepted), but when they all realised that they could sell vast amounts of replica shirts then they stuck their thumbs out to catch that bus.

The new 3rd is a lot whiter than it seems on the pics tbh, kind of like a brides dress that has been with 1/2 the congregation (been to a wedding like that, and 1/2 were while she was with the fella she was marrying). I like it but as I've got the home I'll only get it if they reduce it by tons again... cant see kitbag doing that 'til about march though tbh.

Apparently, we can't wear the pink kit if the opposition wears red or orange on their kits. Sooo Palace in the cup? or maybe Dagenham and Redbridge?
