Otherwise I'm buying that.

Might be able to be swayed if there is something miles better for an extra 50 bones or so.

Iphone 5 is out on friday mate.....get on e-bay next week....loads of people will be upgrading their iphones so you may be able to pick up an iphone 4 on the cheap if thats what your into.

Not interested in Apple tbh, but thanks for the tip.

Agreed that 250 (German Amazon) is a great price for this phone.

or wish to have a lesser handset.

Getting one at that price you must be tempted for the Nexus 7 to run alongside it.

The Galaxy Nexus is not a bad shout. It is a previous generation phone, but running Jelly Bean it still feels incredibly relevant.

Not sure if 250 bones is a good price or not, if it is, snap it up mate.

And also still better than the s3, hence the costs more bit.

Samsung have now brought out an android camera.....

Samsung Galaxy Android Camera features : The Samsung Android camera features an 21x optical zoom lens that can be controlled by either button or touchscreen, rendering long-distance pictures in a quality that users will be proud to share, while OIS ensures that images stay clear and crisp. The Samsung Galaxy Camera is equipped with a 16 Megapixel 1/2.3†BSI CMOS sensor which captures images in perfect color and resolution, while the 23mm wide-angle lens delivers great wide-angle photographs incomparable to smartphone pictures. The Samsung Galaxy Android camera boasts large and vivid 4.8-icnh HD Super Clear LCD screen, which makes it a pleasure to capture, share and edit pictures from the palm of the hand. Another advantage of smartphone technology is the Voice Control option which allows the user to control a number of functions such as ‘Zoom in’ and ‘Shoot’ through voice.

The innovative 'Smart Pro' feature makes it easy to recreate advanced photographic setups in just a few simple steps for stunning artistic results. Using the easy-to-navigate menu system, users can choose from a series of preset scenario options which will automatically adjust the camera’s settings in order to capture the perfect picture. For example, the 'Rich Tone' setting delivers pictures with greater intensity - particularly effective for reducing overexposure in bright surroundings, while the 'Light Trace' setting automatically controls shutter speed for atmospheric night scenes full of light trails. All these features are housed in a beautifully designed, ergonomic body with the Galaxy camera’s minimal, organic design complementing its easy-to-use professional features.

The new features take advantage of the ultrafast quad-core processor and HD Super Clear LCD, giving access to a feature like Auto Face Calibration so edits can be made in precise detail and with ease. The ‘Movie Wizard’ also allows users to create and edit expert-quality videos easily from the touchscreen.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
The Samsung Galaxy Camera also features 'Smart Content Manager', an innovative on-device organization tool which intelligently creates folders, tags faces, and even suggests which pictures to delete when they don’t come out as desired. Thanks to the combination of wireless connectivity and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the internet capabilities of the Android camera are equal to those of the latest smartphones so that users can get even more enjoyment out of their device. In addition to the pre-installed applications from Samsung, users can browse the internet and enjoy any apps from Google Play or Samsung Apps store. If users are not sure which app to download, 'S-Suggest' will help them recommend a new photo editing app or fun game to download.

MIDDLE ONE BTW

Samsung Galaxy Android Camera features
The camera’s convenient 'Auto Cloud Backup' feature will automatically save photos into the cloud via Samsung’s All-Share the instant they are taken. The Samsung Android camera also allows users to share photos at the same time as they shoot them with 'Share Shot.' As well as sharing to social media sites and cloud services, users can also connect to a range of Samsung Galaxy devices including the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for effortless and automatic sharing of pictures across the Samsung Galaxy product family. The Android camera enables connection to 3G or 4G, allowing photo sharing and browsing anywhere. The Samsung Galaxy camera also functions on Wi-Fi with Dual Band and Channel Bonding for extra speed. Connectivity is supported by a quad-core processor that enables fast internet browsing and multi-tasking, as well as high-speed image processing without a significant impact on battery life.

The S3 is over 400, for reference.

One thing about the Galaxy Nexus, the camera is pretty dreadful.

The camera on the S2 is supoib. Even better on the S3 I think. I still wouldn't buy it, I prefer post processing on my laptop and you'll get better cameras for less money but its a good idea.

The Note 2 is specced very well, plus it is running Jelly Bean (albeit the Sammy Touchwiz JB). It does have some cool features, BUT (and I know this sounds a bit funny from a S3 owner) it is too big for a phone. It is a midge too wide for me to use one handed (the S3 is at the absolute limit).

And the only thing the Nexus has over an S3 right now is JellyBean (out of the box). That is going to change now the Sammy JB is about to be released (although personally I do prefer the vanilla experience of the AOSP, which is what mine has flashed).

If you guys can get a Note 2 for 300 bones over there, and you don't mind the size then it will be a top phone for you. Other than that, a Nexus for 250 is a pretty good budget deal.

Oh, and that Samsung camera is just a bit overkill. Don't see it being a success at all (despite the fact it is an S3 with the phone features removed and shoehorned into a camera chassis)

just got my Galaxy Nexus back after breaking the screen, they replaced the handset apparently as it was too damaged.

4.2 Jellybeaned up here, can't figure the camera out at the moment tbh. but look forward to doin' a 360 with it...... Onsunday v the spuds.

Daughters Nexus 4 has just arrived.

They said it would be in about another 3 weeks tbh which is why she got the Nexus 7 for Xmas.

Good ploy by Google there, delay shipment, folks go out and get the tab then on Boxing Day they send out the phones.

Tablet looks ace btw. maybe now I'll get a go on it as she now has the phone welded to her palm.

Tab AND Phone for less than an iphone or ipad, that's the type of coffee I like to wake up and smell.
