I can think of other games I'd rather be playing in that particular part of the house, it's 1 thing her noticing that the ceiling needs a coat of paint, it's another if she's playing Grand Theft auto over my shoulder.

The next console I get will be decided by the policy towards second hand games. There's a rumour that Microsoft and/or Sony will "rights manage" all games so they cannot be used second hand.

So, naturally, I wouldn't accept a console that did that for free, nevermind pay money for it. I'd invest money in a ridiculous PC and enjoy the higher quality graphics over the longer term instead.

I really can't afford a new playstation.

But will be compelled to somehow get it.

And get grief from mrs Ijjy for ages.

Any ideas when it might be out?

It is planned for sale around Xmas time in Europe, but more than likely be delayed till next year due to no stock available due to sales in Japan and US of A.

Don't think lack of stock will be an issue really, the new console is using pre-existing technologies similar to those used in desktop PCs, plus with both MS and Sony launching the consoles in the same time frame neither will want to lose sales because of product shortages.

I hope so, never knew MS was launching a new console. Will have to check that out

Playstation is my favourite console...i just bought my girlfriend the new ps3 version for valentines for £150 - which isn't bad at all considering you have to pay about £100 for a bluray player

The ps4 should be good, supposedly with a normal controller which has a touch screen in the centre of it.
