i took your advice and got the samsung galaxy s2. i think i am gonna send it back an get iphone4 instead. the samsung is the size of a small baby and feels really fragile, i would be better carrying my laptop around with me! hopefully i will enjoy my new iphone more than this brick i got lumbered with!

Dude, stick with it. It's not flimsy at all, it's just very light.

Do yourself a favour and put this on it.

The Samsung stock OS isn't really all that, this is much much better.

I have installed that mate. i will give it a few days see how i get on

If you need any help with it let me know. Get Juice Defender to extend the battery life.

I went from a Hero to it so was a bit perturbed by the size but now I'd struggle to go smaller. If you need any heads up on apps and stuff let me know. It might be worthwhile to root your phone too as there's some brilliant custom roms out there.

See therein lies the problem. My dad has a HTC EVO (it has the Gingerbread update), and his battery struggles to last a whole day with minimal use. You shouldn't need app's to try and boost battery life, you should have a properly designed OS that doesn't put a massive drain on batteries through misused resources.

Which is why I am hedging my bets with WP7. It has a very small footprint, is very, very fast doing anything and everything moves smoothly. Each time I have used an android device I am surprised how.....what is the word I am looking for........uhmm, cheap. How cheap it feels. Nothing seems to flow, it is all jittery, sometimes it takes several attempts at opening an app.

Hopefully Ice Cream Sandwich fixes alot of this, because competition is incredibly important in this market and android needs to be better than this.

Cue android fanboy ramblings........
