New laptop wanted! Your help needed GOT

Sadly not an option at the moment, but in 12 -24 months time, you might find Ubuntu offer everything you're looking for. A tablet that when dicked has a full desktop OS. Android might follow suit, MS will keep offering their botched up rehash of past offerings, and Apple probably won't budge unfortunately.

Dunno. Just a bit bored of my ipad really.

I would use a laptop for work so would need it to be easy to use. I tried my iPad for that but it wasn't very practicle.

What can you do, and can't you do with a Chromebook?
 

It's basically Google docs, a few web apps, and google drive. Google drive does improve things.

Where did it call short for work, and what would you use it for in work. What apps do you use etc?

Fell short for work when I needed to do an excel type spread sheet and using your bloody fingers on the screen was retarded. Took me bloody ages!

In terms if app, I use the Citrix receiver one for work, connects me direct to my work desktop from anywhere. Very handy. Other than that nothing serious. Might like something where I can do a little video editing too.

And also, and not vital, if I can load up Football Manager, or an old Champ man then that's a bonus.

Yep the iPad is a dog for Excel type work. You're screwed on the gaming front with a Chromebook. You can use Citrix receiver though. It looks like it's footy manager that's going to be your stumbling block.

Well Footy Manager isn't that important to be honest.
