4-5-1 is the most used formation in football. Chelsea one the title a couple of seasons ago primarily using it. The problem with our team is we do not have midfield players with the same creativity and work rate.

It ain't the formation, it's the tactical attitude that is adopted with it...in the case of last night, Moyes must have said.

"Pump it up to the big lad and offer no support, nor should you try and be first to any second balls".

That's negativity...so is insisting on using the same tactics for an hour without changing anything.

ffs we are doing well in the league, we WON the cup game and on a non existant budget! stop being so fecking negative. some clubs have spent twice as much and been relegated and nearly gone administration. take your negativity to toffeeweb they like all that cr*p on there

Where do you think we should be ending up in the league this season? And if Moyes accomplishes that, has he got his formation/tactics right?

Seems to be on the end of a lot of criticism for a manager that consistently gets his team up in the higher part of the table.

I really do think half the moan brigade are, or would be happy
:If we loose
:If we get relageted
:If we done a Leeds
:If we sold our souls.

Just so they could say "See I told you so"!

Come on you blue boys!!!!Super Neville !!!!

When they finally have their way and Moyes goes we'll see what a sh!t manager he was all along, as Bilic or someone takes us to the Champions League promised land.

Or we'll get relegated, like.

I understand the 4-5-1 in away games, but not at home against the "lesser" teams. When we are playing the likes of Wigan, and lower league opposition in the cups we should play two up front, even if one is Cahill

well and truly made up we won, but as simon andrews pointed out trying a 442 at home against the so called lesser teams might be a bit more intersting and dare i say entertaining, also i have never once asked for moyes to be replaced, just wish he would be a bit more adventurous now and then, and not just when we fall behined COYB

We won games with that formation against the top 5 teams last season. We are also grinding out results with it so far this season...

Also "lesser" teams there are none in the prem not in the last two seasons anyway. Look how crazy results have been over the last couple of years with so called lesser teams beating big clubs and the league being the closest on points in a long time

I don't think conservative moyes has ever heard of the word adventurous haha!!
