Hey all,

I am currently on holidays and bought myself a new book -

The Numbers Game , why everything you know about football is wrong by Chris Anderson and David Sally

I'll get around to posting up some excerpts when I'm home and on the computer ...

But in a Nutshell Roberto Martinez emerges as one of the current greatest managers in the world and more importantly the two statistics analysists employed by Everton are highly touted as some of the worlds best certainly the best in England

Obviously the book is impartial and provides solid evidence to support these claims instead of throwing out blanket statements

Also when I have finished the book I will have a more sound understanding myself to create my own argument

However its a cracking read and as I said I will update with some excerpts

It has definitely filled me with optimism for the upcoming season and provided some light in the annual doom and gloom transfer window

Can everybody stop with the optimism stuff. We are Everton. Your duty, as Evertonians, is to be pessimistic, miserable and downtrodden.

it is your duty
