New Formation

I think playing Baines as a wing back would take a lot from his game. He works best with someone in front of him cutting inside and teeing the ball up for him on the overlap.

We need a striker and a winger, then we need to learn how to play a flat four in midfield with two upfront.

When Coleman's fit: 4-2-3-1

------------------------Howard
Coleman-----Jagielka--------Distin-------Baines
------------------Fellaini----Rodwell--------------
--------------Arteta----Barkley----Osman
------------------------Saha

Full backs pushed on as wingers.

With everyone fit, my preferred formation 4-1-3-2 against the 'weaker' teams home and away and the usual 4-5-1 against the top 4 as our record is reasonable.

------------------Howard
Neville -Jagielka-Distin-Baines
-----------------Fellaini
----osman---Rodwell---Arteta
----Saha---Beckford

Cahill interchangeable with Rodwell & Saha, same with Coleman and Osman. 100% agreed with the shooting policy, no one will take responsibilty and have a go.

I hate the idea of a week in week out identical formation. You need to adjust for each opponent imo. However, for me the standard would be something like
