Greetings GOT members from a newly minted Blue here in California!

I've been enjoying the forum for some time and thought I'd introduce myself.

I live about 30 miles East of San Francisco.

I don't really remember how I first found GOT but who cares, I'm here now.

Sadly, I had never heard of Everton until Landon Donovan's first loan stint but the fans were so willing to extend him a hand in friendship and root for him to do well that in a strange way it seemed like Evertonians were accepting me as well! Plus, I've never liked the color red!

My favorite player is Tony Hibbert. Admittedly limited, but the man is just plain bedrock. After the inevitable riot is over, you will hear a weird "riot echo." That'll be me.

I am aware that pineapple is sometimes put on pizza and eaten but for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would do that either to perfectly good pizza or the unoffending pineapple. As people of the more folksy part of the Western US would say "It's as queer as a three dollar bill."

Welcome to Evertonia. Sound stance on the POP as well. There's a strong contingent of GOT members from the states (I'm from Seattle, like). Feel free to check out the MLS thread as the season's nigh upon us.

You follow MLS? If not...Seattle Sounders FC is the way to go! Eh, burnsy?

Thanks, East Bay represent! Actually, I'm just a little further East, Oakley. I used to live and work in Oakland though back in the day. I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other either for the animals themselves or for the band.

Thanks for the welcome and the tip on the links! I don't follow MLS too closely but I'll check it out. There's no doubt that the Sounders fans are fantastic and that they have a great time on match day. Cheers.

Not too closely. I followed the original San Jose Earthquakes in the NASL league. I've been to a few of the San Jose MLS games but it's just not been the same. I agree that the Seattle fans do seem to be some of the best fans in MLS though.
