I am obviosly looking through blue glasse's but has there ever been a better goaly than Nev, in my opinion Nev had it all but of course every save i seen Nev make meant something to me so probably seemed all the better for that.

True Nev was great. He only had one problem, if he knew he wasn't going to make the save he wouldn't bother, he would just stay rooted. Did my head in that.

But who could forget that save vs Falco in 85?

In his day between 1984 and 1987 he was the best in the world as for the best ever i don,t know, imo he would be up there with shilton, banks, yashin and jennings.

Be up there you say?? In my opinon their NEARLY up there with him more like. He was the greatest ever.

The flying pig was a legend and still is. Top bloke too, met him once in woolton sainsburys, he signed a cornflake pack for me!

Before Petr Cech's collision with Nickey Shorey, he was considered one of the best in the world. His idol when he was a kid.........Neville Southall.

Best keeper in my life-time. Seen the best and the worst of Everton, but still stood head shoulders above the rest. The 95 cup final says it all for me, the end of a glorious career, legend for club and country, playing against the then worlds best stopper, and he puts in a performance that confirmed him as one of the greatest. Dixie and Nev are Evertons greatest in my opinion, didnt see the first but eternally greatful to see the big man.

nevs the man, which ever god you do or dont p[lay to 'it' has nev in 'its' dream team.

maybe, just maybe rudolf gets a spot on the bench. (the star jumping bellend)

For me you are spot on as i firmly beleive Nev was the main reason we won the cup.

Tomorrow marks the 10th anniversary of Neville's 750th and last appearance for Everton.

I thought we could have a thread which celebrated what one of the best goalkeepers this world has seen has accomplished with our great team.
