'The Good Place' was a fairly enjoyable and novel comedy.

'Star Trek discovery' season 2 is looking good, after the disaster of overly PC season 1 which was like watching the extremist feminist manifesto in space. It's more like how the star trek universe should be - stories with a moral rather than being lectured with a biased agenda.

The ballad of buster scraggs(?) was also summat different. Worth a look.

Rick and Morty (if it's still on there) great fun.

Just type the film names into IMDB and check the user ratings, if a film averages over 7.5 after thousands of user votes it’s usually going to be decent provided u like the genre. Anything averaging above 8.0 tends to be very good. I know review ratings are not the be all and end all of how good a film is but if you take a look at the IMDB top 100 rated films they are all pretty much top tier films and classics... it’s a pretty solid system for finding the good amongst the mountains of turd and averageness.

yeah i do that when i can be bothered...its a shame they dont have the imdb score linked like amazon prime does

I struggled to get in to Paradise PD mate, might give it another go instead of watching Rick & Morty episodes for the 100th time!

Abducted in Plain Sight was one of the most jaw-dropping things I've ever watched. Constantly found myself mouthing "what the f......." as I just could not believe what I was seeing/hearing!
 
I think every series of American Horror Story (except the most recent) is on there. Well worth it. The second series (Asylum) was the best, IMHO.

Can’t really think of much else on Netflix that I consider properly standout TV tbh.

Outside of Netflix

Gommora (in top 3 tv series ever made imo)
True Detective
Generation Kill
The Terror
Atlanta
Mr Robot

I’m sure you will have seen most of these as well though.

Didn’t bother mentioning the likes of GOT, Breaking Bad, The Wire etc as I’m fairly sure everyone and their mum will have seen these by now.
